so far we have been to BARCELONA for a day mostly doing embassy stuff but we did a few touristy looking around things as well. Tarragona is about 1hr from Barcelona. In this region they also speak CATALAN so all the sign opsts are in catalan etc its weird but cool that they keep the language. not all things are translated in spanish!!! Catalan mostly overrides spanish. i find a lot of catalan is the same as portuguese but not all. the rest is a mixture of spanish and french from what i can make out.
today we went to the small towns around Tarragona so beautiful. tarragona was the Roman capital at one stage before even the birth of christ so there is a lot of old architecture here. today we saw heaps and the friend of the mother in law of paulos cousins brother (hehehe) lives in an old house in a small town where part of it is inside a castle, an original old town of the area. the whole suburb is inside the massiv castle / fort. you will see the pictures when i get back :)
