Mel & Paulo 2007

Okay, so this is the part where i actually update you all on what is happening with the life of Mel & Paulo !!! Most of you already know by now as we are a bit behind on the blog stakes (though, Beto is almost always up to date with his :)...

Okay, so, to start with, Paulo went to Colombia just before Christmas and just came back a couple of weeks ago. it was just lovely(not) to get a call on Christmas day while he's sitting on the beach a short breeze away from the Carribbean!!! After a busy Christmas and getting back to Cali late New Years Eve he's just hanging around with family and friends and doing normal Cali - life things. His main concern is spending time with his mum and dad and especially going with his dad to hospital appointments for the treatment of his diabetes.

As for me, well i'm working working working. Still at the same place! I have also been moving moving moving... Not wanting to pay Sandy Bay rent on my own while Paulo is away we decided to end our lease for Lauramont Avenue and I have since spent a month with Joe & Cath, as well as Liji who are good friends (from church) and I have now moved to the "Channel" to co-live with Suzie in her lovely 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom house in the bush. Now paulo has come back we have signed a lease in Mount Nelson, yay, back to Mt Nelson!!!
.
if you havn't got our new address just email or txt/ phone us and we'll pass it on.
.
what happened to buying the house you say? well we hadn't decided and needed to move house by the end of april so we decided just to go with another lease to give us time to find a house we are willing to move into and have the mortgage for..... pluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus, if you are behind on the Molano news, i'm about 4 mths pregnant, so we are concentrating on that for the time being!!!!! baby due last day of august :)
.
yes, you heard right, I am pregnant. 18 weeks atm. just waiting now, nausea now eased and feel okay so i may even have time to update this thing properly :) as soon as we are settled in our new flat that is! (moving today!). the photo below is of the "pollie" (pollywog) at about 13 weeks, taken about a month ago, next big scan is in a couple of weeks :)

So, Beto settled in well at both the Towns' and now Suzies house which has been great. I have appreciated how adaptable he is as it has made it a much easier transition. The old 3 day to 2 week (depends who you speak to) variations do not seem to apply to our little Beto, as he has oriented himself well both times with little need for inside lock up. At Suzie's house he actually escaped before the second day and behaved so well i have not had to confine him. At the Towns' Beto also impressed us with his Toddler understanding skills by not leaving even a hint of a scratch on Liji during any of their play times. Great to know for in the future when we may have little people present :) At the moment Beto is socialising with Banjo, Suzie's puppy, so i'll let you know how that goes :) He is definitely having big days in the bush life as he sleeps all night without a wink!

so that's Mel & Paulo for the start of the 2007 year! Stay tuned for Paulo's update, once he gives in to my nagging to write it!!!
